Sheri K. YellowHawk is my biological daughter born in Az. She has three daughters Heather, Shalimar, and Jasmyne.

On Oct. 4, 1998 I received a letter from her, she has been looking for me at this point I have never seen her. The following day I left for Az. to meet her and her wonderful family. This is something that I have prayed for and hoped for 29 years. There is no words that can express the joyous and emotional feelings that I experienced. Sheri is a Council Member of the Hualapai Indian Nation also Manager of the Hualapai Training Center and teaches college math and is the School board president for the Peach Springs Unified School District and CEO of the Grand Canyon Resort Corporation and many other things. I am very proud of her and what she has accomplished.

From Sheri I have learned that all thing are possible and prayers are answered sometimes "He says wait".

Chief YellowHawk's Prayer

O Great Spirit, Whose voice I hear in the winds,
and whose breath gives life to all the world,
hear me, I come before you, one of your children.
I am small and weak. I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty and make my eyes
ever behold the red and purple sunset.
Make my hands respect the things you have made,
my ears sharp to hear your voice.
Make me wise so that I may know the things you
have taught my people,
the lesson you have hidden in every leaf and rock.
I seek strength not to be superior to my brothers,
but to be able to fight my greatest enemy, myself.
Make me ever ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes,
so when life fades as a fading sunset,
my spirit may come to you without shame.

Jaime was the wild one she is outspoken and honest, and from her I learned tolerance, and the gift of laughter. She also taught me to listen as she never gave me a choice.

If you asked her how her day was you better be prepared to listen.
